The 97th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, Company A is based out of the Tampa Area in West Florida. We are an association of people who have joined together to share a common interest, and are always looking for new members. We meet on the third Tuesday of every month to discuss upcomming reenactments, drills, living histories, parades, and any other topic we can think of. Our purpose is to learn and teach about the soldiers and civilians of the 1860's by reenacting their lifestyles.We look forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to navigate throughout our site.

Civil War reenactors prep for weekend battles at Cheadle Lake

More than 500 Civil War reenactors dressed in period-correct clothing will breathe life into the event, according to Scott Ingalls, board chairman. The encampment will continue Saturday and Sunday for the general public of all ages.
